Creating Space for Culture and Community

Collective Roots CIC is an African cultural hub based in Canterbury, Kent, bringing people together through heritage, art, music, storytelling, and shared experiences.

Collective Roots CIC was created to celebrate African culture and build meaningful connections across our local community. Our work creates opportunities for people of African heritage to learn, connect, and honor their roots while inviting the wider Kent community to experience contemporary and traditional expressions.

Through cultural events, workshops, live performances, and creative projects, we bring African heritage into shared spaces where everyone is warmly welcomed.

We support African diaspora artists while introducing our local community to music, food, art, stories, and enduring traditions.
